I have not been so brave as to be on the bank during the bad weather. Fishing for the hardy only right now! Hats off to the chap I spoke to on the Stour (sturmister Newton). Days without a pike but still fishing on. Hope he bagged a monster after I left him to it.
He had the right gear on and said he felt snug, not cold at all. It was -6 degrees! (note: new products to source – clothing) we will get on to it.
